Ron graduated from MHS, and attended Fort Hays State. He grew up in Marquette and has been a lifelong farmer in the area. Ron is a father of 2, Emily and Tim Larson.

Terry graduated from MHS & FHSU, He is retired from CHS. He and his wife Nancy raised their family on a farm by the smoky hill river. Terry's roots run deep in this community, with his great-grandfathers coming from Sweden to the Marquette area.

Betty graduated from University of Kansas with her Ph.D. in special education. She served as the MES principal. Betty has numerous awards and recognitions in early childhood education. She is a guest speaker in areas of education and is a presenter in educational workshops. Betty is currently a cognitive therapist for young adults with traumatic brain injury and a professor at Emporia State University. Major awards and recognitions: University of Kansas Merit Scholarships, 2004-2006, University of Kansas Donor Scholarship, 2005-2006, Kappa Delta Pi Special Education Consultant to “Dear Ruth,” 2002-present, Kansas Head Start Advisory Committee, 2002-2005, National State Teachers of the Year, Executive Director, 1996-1999, Kan-Lead Fellowship, 1988-89, Teacher of the Year for the State of Kansas, 1984, “In Honors of Excellence” Symposium, Captiva Island, FL, 1984, Kansas Teachers’ Hall of Fame inductee, Dodge City, KS, 2011, Kansas Association of Special Education Administrators “KIDS FIRST” Award, 2013. Membership in scholarly organizations: Council for Exceptional Children, National Network of State Teachers of the Year, Delta Kappa Gamma, Pi Lambda Theta & Kappa Delta Pi, and Kansas Association of Special Education Administrators. Other interests: Piano Duetist with Shirley Malcolm, Colby, KS, over 165 performances; Most recent performances at Delta Kappa Gamma International Conventions, Minneapolis, MN and SanDiego, CA, Accompanist in area churches/ community activities.

Kerry has a Bachelor of Science in education. Kerry is enjoying retirement with his wife of 40 years, Mary Kay, on his original 1869 family homestead located northwest of Marquette. As a graduate of Marquette Elementary and High School with deep family roots, he is 100% committed to the prospect of returning the one-time school facility into something that is productive and useful. “We will not only be fulfilling a great need but I am convinced that the Learning Center is a project that will earn the community’s full support and will serve as an excellent source of pride.” Kerry has 40 years of experience in business with 30 of those years being spent successfully managing two different retail operations. Chelsea Graber

Chelsea has a degree in early childhood education and has been certified by the state to direct a childcare center, along with 10 years of experience guiding children in the first years of life. In addition to childcare, Chelsea served as a youth coordinator giving her 7 years of experience working with youth and their families at her home church in Hutchinson. Chelsea moved with her family to the charming town of Marquette in July of 2017.
